How to Care for Sensitive Skin

Sensitive skin often have skin problems such as red blood streaks, itching, tingling, peeling, and even inflammation. So how should skin care for sensitive skin be correct?

[Avoid excessive cleaning]

It is recommended to wash your face with warm water 1-2 times a day. The skin is in an acidic environment. Do not use alkaline soap to clean the face.

Secondly, facial cleansers with strong surfactants are not recommended, and scrubs, facial brushes, etc. are not recommended for deep cleansing. Try to choose 35-37℃ warm water as far as possible (subject to comfort), and gently clean the face with your fingers.

[Do basic moisturizing]

As long as you are not allergic to moisturizers/moisturizers and can tolerate them, you must do a good job of moisturizing every day.

If your skin feels too dry, you can rub it several times. Moisturizing is very important to repair and maintain our skin barrier.

[Avoid frequent use of mask]

It is not recommended to use the mask frequently or excessively, so as to avoid excessive skin hydration, swelling of the stratum corneum, and damage to the skin barrier.

Avoid irritating skin care】

When the skin has very sensitive symptoms, high concentrations of fruit acid, salicylic acid, as well as the cleansing active agents, preservatives, fragrances and other ingredients in cosmetics are best avoided. Wait for the skin sensitivity to decrease and the skin can tolerate it. Comprehensive evaluation will be done afterwards.

[Sunscreen is essential]

Sun protection must be done, no matter whether there is sun or not, sun protection measures must be taken.

Sun protection should be used when going out, such as using an umbrella, wearing a hat, sun protection clothing, and reasonable use of sunscreen. Both UVB and UVA can cause photosensitive dermatitis. It is recommended to use a broad-spectrum sunscreen, SPF≥30, and a sunscreen with inorganic filtering substances such as titanium dioxide/zinc oxide.
